Home tuition is often more flexible in terms of an individual's needs...
more responsive, and more flexible in terms of intended learning goals
and aims. It can be useful in addressing individual difficulties or
miscomprehensions that hinder progress.
You don't have to be brilliant to use home tuition. You
don't have to be school-age, or any particular age... education
is valuable regardless.
It is important, of course, that your tutor is knowledgeable about
the stuff you want to learn, and there will always be preparation
for sessions on my part to make sure that I am sufficiently on task
with the subject material and up-to-date. Preparation is important
besides, since everyone's needs are a little different.
Keeping up with all the schemes of work, and exam
specifications across the range of boards is something I
take seriously. There is more about this further along.
The subjects on offer here are Mathematics and
ICT/IT to GCSE level. These are the levels I am competent to
deliver tuition up to, as my own attainment is one level above
this in each of these subjects. I am very happy to work at
any level up to and including this, in whatever educational
context suits you.
